Beat a Ticket
Most people pay their traffic fines without going to court
because they don’t know how to beat a Ticket. You should only
pay the fine after a guilty verdict or if you don’t care about
points on your license and higher insurance premiums.
Use these
guidelines to Beat a
Ticket if you care. When you hear the siren, pull over
switch off the engine, roll down the window and place your hands
on the steering wheel. Don’t make any sudden moves. Whatever you
do, don’t admit guilt. Make mental notes while the officer
writes the ticket. Valuable information includes: ? the traffic
conditions ? color of your clothing ? passenger names if
applicable ? registration number of the patrol vehicle ? any
noticeable characteristics of your vehicle ? location of the
offense ? road and signage conditions The next step is to enter
a plea. You stand a better chance to get off with a warning or
get your case dismissed if you have a clean traffic record. Pay
outstanding parking tickets. Inspect the
href="www.ihatespeedingtickets.com" target="_blank">vehicle code you
violated and break it up in sections to build a defense for
every part. Obtain information about the arrest record of the
citation officer, his training record, and if applicable his
radar certification. Return to the scene and take pictures of
the road signs and traffic controls. All of this information can
help you to Beat a Ticket. The judge may dismiss the case if the
traffic officer who wrote the citation, doesn’t show at the
court on the set date. Try to get an extension of the trial date
to increase the chance that officer will be absent. You face the
risk of conflicting arrangements on the new date, but it may
also be an inconvenient date for the officer. You can beat a
ticket on technicalities such as: ? Faulty equipment. ?
Incorrect procedures followed ? Lack of officer training ?
obscured traffic signs Success with this strategy will depend on
your detailed account of what happened on that day.
You need the name of the manufacturer; make and model of the
radar unit; serial number; copy of the manufacturers’ standards
for maintenance and operating procedures; and the maintenance
record to proof that the radar reading was wrong. Lack of
regular maintenance can favor your chances and you may be able
to Beat a Ticket by proving that the radar unit was not
maintained properly. The radar unit must be calibrated after a
reading. The case may get dismissed if the record shows that it
was only calibrated at the beginning and end of the shift. You
can get out of other traffic violations such as driving in the
wrong lane or passing another vehicle where a sign forbids it on
account of weather, obstruction of view, preventing an accident
or even being confused with another driver. It is however, a
difficult defense strategy if you plan to beat a Ticket.
Research relevant case law to help you win the case. Get
acquainted with the court
procedure before your trial date. Dress in a professional
manner and be on time. Remember you are innocent until proven
guilty. You can beat a Ticket if you follow the above guidel
.
